Australian universities top 100 Under 50 list

AusBN – The latest 100 Under 50 ranking list has reported that Australia has more high-ranking universities under 50 years old than any other country.

The Times Higher Education list said that 16 Australian institutions are in the world’s top 100 young universities.

These include the University of Technology in Sydney and the University of Newcastle.

Phil Baty Times Higher Education rankings editor said: "Australia is now the world's No. 1 nation when it comes to the new generation of world-class universities.

"While its Group of Eight old guard continue to shine, Australia also has a thriving community of young, dynamic universities that are making a global impact too."
